The State Department for Correctional Services bagged an award for the Most Outstanding Pavilion during the African Public Service Day celebrations.
The event run from the 21st-23rd June 2022 with a theme: Celebrating Public Service Transformation: Ten Years Journey and Beyond.
More than 130 exhibitors got to showcase their different exhibits from different Ministries, Departments and agencies.
The State department which includes two technical departments namely Kenya Prisons Service and Probation and After Care Services, showcased different exhibits including Service charters, video documentary, e-learning induction programme for Probation Officers, items made by offenders such as: art and craft,
woodwork, clothing, tree seedlings, shoes, furniture, among others.
The presentations were ranked based on innovations, branding and presentations and they were guided by five thematic areas which included: -
- Business Process Re-engineering
- Innovations for inclusive and equitable service delivery
- Public Service Digitization
- Entrenching Performance Management success in cascading performance contracting
- Environmental Conservation and climate change initiatives.
