CORRECTIONAL SERVICES PS PLEDGES SUPPORT AS NEW HRM&D DIRECTOR TAKES THE HELM

State department for Correctional Services Principal Secretary Dr. Salome Beacco has pledged to support efforts aimed at building capacity of staff at the department as part of ongoing efforts aimed at improving performance.

Speaking during the handing over ceremony between outgoing HRM&D Director Peter Koros and incoming Director Susan Wangari, the PS said a robust staff capacity-building framework that prioritizes skills development, knowledge, and capabilities of staff will ensure the success of the department as well as the government’s overall development agenda.

While thanking the outgoing director for his efforts, the PS said she remains committed to addressing outstanding challenges even as she challenged the incoming director to endeavor to build and improve the human capital at the department.

“Your work is very important as it affects all staff at the department. Let’s work with dedication and commitment for the common good, because that is your calling,” implored the PS.
